There he meets his coworkers-slash-love interests: Kouichi, moved by Haru’s heroic actions, takes Haru under his wing and gives him a place to live, food, a cellphone, and a job at the upscale bar he owns– When Haru woke up in the hospital, he forgot everything about himself: his age, where he lived… Even his name. Inui, but as luck would have it, Haru got hit instead. Oh yeah, and Haru got hit by a car trying to save an older man named Kouichi Inui. Let’s start with the basics: our protagonist is a young man named Haru (maybe.) He’s twenty-two years old (probably) and he really likes butts and boobs (definitely.) I dove into this game expecting a lighthearted nukige and emerged with something… Much, MUCH more than that. It’s really hard to sum up how I feel about this visual novel in one sentence, but to start off my review, I’m going to try my best to do just that: The one thing that really caught my attention was the art, done by my all-time favorite eroge artist Shigeo Hamashima (the artist responsible for other VNs like Eroge! Sex and Games Make Sexy Games and the upcoming MG title euphoria) and was honestly the main thing that actually got me to play the visual novel. So when Manga Gamer made the announcement that it would be translating Parade’s very first visual novel No, Thank You!!! I was a little skeptical. I’ve played Nitro+CHiRAL’s DRAMAtical murder and its pseudo-sequel and I’ve dabbled into the company’s Togainu no Chi as well, but that’s as far as my venture into BL visual novels goes. It’s not that I’m venomously opposed to the genre, it’s just never really piqued my interest. Let me be the first to say that I’ve never been a huge fan of boy’s love anime, manga… Anything, to be completely honest.
